Has anyone used the" Vantec" Caravan Protection product.

Hi guys,

We are considering getting the Vantec protection pack for our Goldstream Camper Van.

Has anyone tried this paint and fabric protection product.

Or is there a better way of protecting the paint and fabric.

Regards

Some people swear by this stuff, but there was no way I could ever justify the cost, especially having watched them applying it out of a garden sprayer.

A good wash (most use CT18 truck wash or similar) followed up by a quality polish every now and again is a cheaper and just as effective way of caring for the exterior of your van.

As regards to the interior, you can by scotchguard in spray cans and apply it yourself for fabric treatment.

Trevor.

Thanks,

I have done some more research and you can buy DIY kits from about $100, just a bit cheaper than the $1000 they want.

Same as the 'car care' packages, a good way for the dealer to make nice margin

Ever heard of the saying 'you get what you pay for'. Those cheaper treatments don't last long and you have to keep re-treating. Vantec lasts a long time without the hassle of polishing and re-applying. We had our van treated 4 years ago and couldn't be happier with the results.

I handed the $$$ over when i ordered my swan, mainly because i have three young kids. Yes its not cheap and maybe i could have spent my money elsewhere but from what i have seen and experienced it works quiet well. The spills pretty much just bead and wipe straight off, but then again maybe the cheaper stuff might have worked as well. Time will tell if it lasts or not.

I would be interested to know if you still think it is good value and how well it is lasting. I have ordered an Eagle an Vantec have been on the phone... Did it cost a $1000 ?

No was $500. Still a bit expensive but they gaurantee it so if it does get soiled its their fix. So far so good though and no stains
