long time tenter, first time CT
« on: August 15, 2011, 08:02:49 PM »
Hi All
just got ourselves a Lifestyle ICON, suits the 2 (or 3 with dog) of us just great, very simple set up and really versatile, can't wait to get some km on it and get rid of that as new look, (needs to be like a well worn bike jacket), will post some pics when I get round to it.
also looking some places we can camp with dog around the SE Qld area?
  to all from KA&MB

José and Susan from Cairns.
Almost grey gomads!
We have a motorhome (converted Hino bus) , but use our Ranger 4x4 and a hybrid bike hauler/camper trailer for the less accessable places. Often take a couple of dirt bikes with us as well.
Have been right around the big island with the MH and seen most of FNQ and the Cape by 4x4 or bike.

First trip to Cape york was in 1975 on a 250cc 2 stroke OSSA dirt bike - with no support vehicle. Real adventure and swam the bikes over the big rivers on air matresses. Oh to be that young and fit again!

You'll be happy with the Lifestyle...  As for camping Gordon Country near Warwick is great.  Heaps of space and can take your dog.
