Tow hitch for Jeep KJ 07 liberty

G'day all.

im looking for a tow hitch for my jeep, would need the complete kit. any recommendations? Looked on the internet at the USA sites and a set costs around 300 usd but they don't ship here :(.. called Jeep and they said 432AUD!

appreciate any suggestions

Wreckers, search for KJ Cherokee, not Liberty (that is the US model, they won't know what you're on about!).

03 to 07 are the same from memory.

When and if you find one make sure you get the KJ "extended" hitch tongue - this puts the towball out beyond the spare tyre ... I bought mine from Jeep - $95 just for the tongue.. but worth the peace of mind ..

Steve thanks for that, did you buy your tow bar kit etc from Jeep?...what camper do you tow with yours? My jeep is the 3.7 petrol - i assume it should be just fine for pulling a camper around?

See pics below -- The tongue extends about 5 cm past the spare - I have the 2.8 diesel and tow the Tardis at about 700 Kgs fully loaded so no problems for me - as you can see in the pic yours will pull 2268 Kgs ... Should be enough for most CTs
