Tap for CT kitchen.
« on: April 11, 2011, 11:04:08 AM »
Hey folks

I am making a plywood kitchen for the CT (similar to the drifta ones) and want to get a tap for it, but dont know where from. The tap will run off  a pump, so I dont really want a handpump. Do I need a specific caravn style tap? or will a flickmixer from bunnings work just as well? Any input is appreciated!

Cheers Chippy :D

The folding style are useful in that they don't tend to get broken off as you close the kitchen like so often happens with the hand pumps.

Silvo found a ripper, check out his camper trailer thread for details.

I recently purchased one of these with the fold down spout from BCF for around $40 and am very happy with it...

I used this one http://www.caravansplus.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=994_33_537&products_id=7521&osCsid=20fe0b079b4511974980707edb8b10f9 from Caravans Plus. The spout folds down so it won't get wiped out when closing up the kitchen. The domestic mixers usually dont have a spout that will life up or down, just from side to side.

And you can buy one from Caravan Services one of my favourite places to visit.  Grab a groovy sink there too.  Amongst other wonderful things ...

Nice set up there Silvo   :cup:  Yes I see your passion for hose clamps has come to the fore!  Do you think you could encourage My Man to purchase some of that drain hose?  The bucket we use at the moment can be a darn PITA at times.

That is exactly what I am looking for thank you!  I have found a few similar online, and assume the prices dont get much better.

i love a good hose clamp..

over all of the corrugations, i've found that they came a little loose, but nothing a quick tighten can't fix.. the drain hose is great to get the garbage away from the sink.. you just need to flush it out every no and then so you don't get an accumulation of garbage in there.
