Weber Baby Q Help
« on: December 05, 2021, 08:36:38 AM »
Hi All,
Does anyone know if the electronic ignition button that holds the battery can be purchased as a spare part. Not the whole assembly just the bottom or more specifically the rubber cover. I destroyed mine whilst inserting the battery when assembling the BBQ.

On a side note does anyone know how to get that bloody cover on. I tore the rubber cover with a screw driver when trying to install the battery. There is a collar that snaps in and the cover goes over that with a lip to hold it on but for the life of me I couldn’t get in on. I could get the cover on the collar but then couldn’t snap the collar in or I could snap the collar in but then couldn’t get the cover on.

As you push the button in twist anti clockwise to release.
I also need one. I lost mine camping and have not found a spare

That’s the piezo version not the battery version that he asked for.

Call Weber. The igniter is covered by warranty and they will send you a new one for free.

Like James just said, Weber cover the igniter on weber Q's for life, even free postage.
And if you have a weber Kettle they will also provide new handles ( plastic ones) for free as well.

As above, Weber customer care is second to none. I rang up to pay and order a new hotplate - mine had some rust. They just sent me a free one. It prompted me to buy a second Q for the camper. Always happy to give them a plug as a very happy customer.
