Does anybody have one of these fridges???

My DZ 65l Primus knockoff died recently, Fridge guy reckons it was "scale" build up, I've never heard of that before, but he reckons the compressor was fine, gas was fine but wouldnt cool. Reckons the piping would have a buildup of scale which stopped gas flow & thus its stuffed, so need a new one.

Was thinking this one particularly
http://www.australiandirect.com.au/buy/kickass-75l-12v-dual-zone-camping-fridge-freezer-w/KA-75DX

These seem to tick the boxes but wondering if anyone has some real world experience or with any of their products actually.

Cheers

No experience but the specs read very well.......maybe to well. But at that price with a 5 year warranty I reckon I would give it a go.

We have this fridge, currently 3 weeks into a 4 month trip and it hasn't missed a beat. We run one side as freezer at -18 other as fridge 3 degrees. Find the usb ports handy for charging phones, Wi-Fi connection works well, bit fiddly to set up. The kicker was the 5 year warranty coverage by Evakool. Internal blue led lights are a nice touch. The cover is ok, has extra pockets, handy for charging cables and phones. Got ours from their eBay store when the 10%deal was on ,if not in a hurry, worth waiting for, prob be some eofy deals coming up. Cheers.

Hoping to revive an old thread, any updated feedback on this fridge? Currently having some issues myself with mine the fridge struggling to get to -18 inside an air conditioned house running on 240 volt.

I “had” a 75 lt dual kickass fridge for about one month.
Was repaired twice in that time. Money back and purchased an evakool instead.

I had made four purchases from kickass.
 1- fridge failed and returned
2 - mppt solar controller - would not run an led light on the output/load terminals without faulting. RETURNED
3 - Hot water system (gas) shower head/hose blew apart after 5 or 6 uses. DIY Replacement
4 - folding solar panel - Still working.

For me a fail rate of 3 out of 4.
I would not buy from them again.
