Tentworld Archerfield now OPEN!

Happy New Year to you!  I hope you're all going with with your NY Resolutions!

Great news!  Our Woolloongabba store is moving to Archerfield!

Following a year of turmoil for our Windsor store following the fatal garbage truck accident last year in February.

We moved in a rush into a temporary home with thanks to our business interruption insurers to allow us to continue to trade & service our customers whilst plans were made for the repairs of our Windsor shop.  Sadly, this was never to be our perminant home as this building is also set for destruction as part of the multi-stage development being coordinated by Pellicano Group.

However, after reflecting on the parking issues, truck access issues and water ingress issues we've had at the Windsor store over the years we've decided to not move back to Windsor and have found our new home in Archerfield. 

Our new address is  903 Beaudesert Rd, Archerfield (Coopers Plains)

What this means is that the WOOLOONGABBA store is now CLOSED TO MOVE.  Ultimately the new store is expected to be open 18th of January roughly, but we'll update you as that gets closer to the date and progress is made.   

In the mean time, remember that our Browns Plains store (South Brisbane) and our Brendale store (North Brisbane) are still open and keen to serve. 

To our Windsor customers, we are very thankful for you following us over the river to Woolloongabba and I know we're asking even more of you to travel to Archerfield now but I hope that you do make the effort, the new store is larger & newer with better parking too.  So well worth the trip in my opinion.

Read this a few days ago after someone mentioned it on our suburbs Facebook page...said that Great Escape Camping had moved, and you guys were moving in there....great news, saves me driving to Wollongabba now as you'll be just around the corner from home

Wow you're onto it Rumpig well done! Glad that it works for you!

Yes it was fortunate that Great Escape wanted to move to Wynnum, as finding good spaces in Brisbane is really tough.  Apparently the owner of Great Escape lives in Wynnum so wanted something close to home.

What we did know is that we didnt really want to move back to Windsor due to the water ingress issues, and the building was getting a bit tired. So when this one came up it was very fortunate as the owners of our temp building in Woolloongabba are wanting to start with this stage of development sooner than originally indicated.  We had hoped we might get a couple of years from it.

Good news is that the team today have made fantastic progress and the move is definitely tracking well currently.

I don't want to hijack he thread, but I have to say Jon that the Tentworld in northern Adelaide is fantastic. Great staff who are always helpful and a great selection of products at good prices.
