After opinions on a new camper top
« on: January 22, 2019, 09:32:40 PM »
G'Day All,

I'm a newbie to this and hope I'm in the right section!  I've got a new dual axle 10' x 5' trailer that I'm looking to get a tent top for (I know its a bit long and will need a bit of adjusting).  After a bit of Googling and heading to a caravan/camper show, I've struggled to find too many options.  I've found the OzTrail series, the Marlin (which seem to be the same, perhaps sub-branded?), and the Skampa Kamper.  So my questions are:

1.  Are there any others out there worth a look
2.  Any opinions on these or any others I should be looking at?  Used would be considered if good quality and worth a look.

Many thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Shep

P.S.  Central NSW based, but happy to go for a drive for the right article.

Have you looked at Austrack Campers? I chose them over Skamper, MDC and GIC. I might be willing to sell my camper tent. Only been used twice so practically brand new. Pm for details if interested.  Cheers, Mike.

I have a Gordigear Tiaga.
Small enough for me and the missus to  do a weeks worth of overnighters and not be pissed at it.
Big enough for the out of school youngest to come on a 3 week trip with us.
Had it for 4 and a bit years. No problems. Everything still works as it should, except for the zipper on the cover.
4 years of red, brown and white dust and putting too much under the cover buggered the zipper.
The velcro does the job.

Talk to Helmut.
