What happened to Johnno’s camper trailers?
« on: December 29, 2017, 08:58:21 PM »
Getting ready to sell mine and figured I’d do a bit of googling and it appears they are no more? Their website campertrailer.com.au now just takes you to a website with a few different manufacturers.

Google offers no hints either.

Anyone know what happened?

We looked at them early 2004 when we set up Cairns Camper Hire but the prices they wanted for 3 campers was over $60k. We ended up using trackabout in the end. Sold the business in 2007.

I know the original owner is busy doing television these days for What's Up Downunder. He originally was with Carlisle Rogers for a few years.

The trailers where produced by CUB who offered two soft floor options for a period after Johnno’s stopped trading (I saw them in the cub stand when we where looking about a year ago). But it would seem CUB are sticking with their hard floor models now.

Hi, when we were looking for a Ct we seriously considered a Johnnos trailer only to start hearing some rumours about trading difficulties so we decided to sit back and wait 6 months.
Glad we waited and hadn't put down a deposit.
Settled on a Challenge Meredien, no regrets.

Yes, I notice they recently dropped the soft floor from their web site....
