Alice is just a place where crimes of opportunity are rife

If you lock your car keep valuables out of site etc you will be fine

Leave the car windows down with a camera on the front seat and 2 cartons of beer in the back well you can expect trouble

Stayed there a couple of times between remote jobs and would stay there again. No problems. We stayed in our camper with all our gear in it and would be out for hours shopping.

No different to most areas.

We are thinking of staying in the Gday mate park in Alice which by all accounts looks secure.

Yep that's the one but I'd book ahead   :cup:

Well we have just returned from Alice and the rock. Thanks everyone for the advice.
Alice is a nice stop over, people watching around the Todds tavern was interesting to say the least.
Did we feel safe? yes we did.
Amazing sights to be seen around the West,East McDonald ranges.
Thanks again for all the pre advice.
