G'day - I have used a scirocco for the past two years and use 2 magnets that attach it to the upright bow - can be angled, 3 speeds and quiet. Magnets don't allow it to slide down or rotate. Super easy to attach and take off.

The base is removable. We used bolt and nylock nut to attach C clips to base. Keep the bolt length as short as required

Undo the base plate and either rivet or bolt them in place on the base plate and refit the baseplate to the Fan.
