Try UAStoAUS, they ship both ways  and sent stuff to the states, so maybe they can help.

I know people have done it with just their cars, (I think Exploroz dudes did bout 8 years back) theres even 4x4 competition blokes who do it so it can't be too hard. I think cleaning the cars both directions was the hardest part!

Freight is at an all time low so should be able to do it for around 1K each way or less, we see fright charges as low as USD350 AKL to Mel.
