Hi all,

Went to the Melbourne show today and have been very tempted with the lifestyle Reconn. Of all the options available which ones have you found useful and which have you regretted getting.

Options I am considering are

1. Straight stub axle to get extra ground clearance.
2. Extended draw bar. Have the Prado
3. Additional gas bayonet for webber or separate wok burner
4. Truma gas hot water
5. Filtered dust suppression system
6. Dinette transforms to a single bunk.
7. Additional 12 volt lighting outlet. (Comes standard with 3 outlets)
8. Full set of annex walls.

Anyone had these options added? Worth doing some or all, or just stick to the standard setup and do the mods at a later stage by my self?

That main ones I question myself are the hot water, extra 12 volt, straight stub axle, dust suppression, and annex walls as there isn't a lot of room inside to sit on a crap day.

Anything else I should include that I haven't considered?

Thanks for the advise.

We found a heater, either diesel or gas, great in Melbourne. Use the camper more and being able to dry clothes inside and also dry out the canvas before packing was really handy. I think you can get a gas heater combo for water and space heating, I know you can for diesel.

We have an AT-12 on order and included all but 1 of the options you listed.

1. Straight stub axle to get extra ground clearance. - not sure about this, but it didn't cost any extra so why not!
2. Extended draw bar. Have the Prado - We also have a Prado and included a tool-box so the extended drawbar was included
3. Additional gas bayonet for webber or separate wok burner - will carry a separate bar-b-que so thought this a good idea
4. Truma gas hot water - comes standard with the AT-12
5. Filtered dust suppression system - standard with the AT-12
6. Dinette transforms to a single bunk. - didn't go with this as not necessary for us (2 retirees)
7. Additional 12 volt lighting outlet. (Comes standard with 3 outlets) - I added a couple of extra 12v outlets. 1 on each side
8. Full set of annex walls. - never in doubt for us

Good luck with your decision.
