Kimberley Kamper Swing Away Mount
« on: December 29, 2016, 10:09:01 PM »
Hi all,
I've got a Kimberley Kamper Platinum Extreme and I want to build Swing Away utility mount so that I can carry bikes and the like. I am hoping someone can post some photos of a factory mount so that I can see where it attaches to the chassis, and where it hinges from.

Won't be able to post pics on here from my phone, but can take pics tomorrow and text them to you if you send me your number via P.M.
One thing to be aware of with the factory set up...if you don't open the swing arm all the way 90 degrees to camper before opening and closing it, you'll bend the strut like a banana that is located there that opens and closes the camper...ask me how I and countless other KK owners learn that lesson...lol

Hi Rumpig, Thanks for the reply, shall PM you shortly. Sounds like a costly mistake, not moving the arm prior to opening, but with the kids always wanting to take the bikes everywhere we go I'm willing to risk it.
