Hillbilly camp oven size?
« on: December 10, 2016, 01:30:50 PM »
We currently have a cast iron camp oven.
I'm tempted to try a hillbilly camp oven but unsure of the sizes.
As a family of four i think the 7.5 litre would be big enough.
Any thoughts between the 7.5L (small) and 12.5L (big).
Does anyone use the lid as a frypan or is it easier to have a separate frypan.
Thanks in advance,
Jono.

I have a Hillbilly small. Recently cooked a casserole (one pot with meat and all veges in it) for 5 adults and had leftovers for lunch the next day.
Haven't used the lid for a frypan yet but will do so. A seperate frypan might be an idea depending on how much food you will be cooking in it.

Here is one I prepared earlier

We have to start thinking about what sort of a world we are going to leave for Keith Richards after we are all gone.
