Having removed the full awning for cleaning on my Fraser for cleaning I was surprised at the difference it made to packing the trailer. As it already has the zip & velcro in place for the quick awning I am looking at going down this road.
Calling Complete Campsite I find they no longer make it for my model (2011), in fact they tell me they don't even have the template for it. So to get one off them would entail taking the trailer in for measurement and they think it would be $1200 as that is the price of their current ones. Therefore am looking at getting a price from a local sailmaker.
According the the poll on who built your CT there are 60 CC owners on the forum, hopefully some of them are Fraser/Byron owners. So was wondering if any CC Fraser/Byron owners on here use the quick awning and how they find it ?
Given the zip sits on the side wall rather than the roof line where the full awning connects is it more difficult to throw it over the roof for pack-up ?
Can you use the spreader bars either end ? Using the centre one is obviously not possible but was hoping to use at least one of the ones with the LED strip attached.
Do you just use the three upright poles without the spreader bars between them (as you do with the full awning) ?
Is the fact it doesn't cover the fridge area an issue ? Was thinking of having a foot or so wide flap at the front so I can hook a tarp up to it to cover the fridge area if this is an issue.
Any information/comments appreciated.
