Sorry - missed the price guide hiding down the bottom of the page on the web site.  Low/no fees...   

Rates all look ok and nothing too scary there.   Fixed rate is handy as rates are historically very low. 

Again - might of missed it - but check how the interest is calculated.   If calculated daily and charged monthly this is the way most banks do it which gives you the opportunity to pay weekly/fortnightly and reduce the balance the interest is being calculated on each time you make a payment.  Of course there are 26 fortnights verse 12 mths so you'd want to make sure the additional payment is going to count towards reducing the interest charge.

So I did my research as best I could and took the plunge and applied for an unsecured personal loan through SocietyOne.

All done on-line with one quick call from one of their people, pretty painless really.

Went from 19% where we were to 10.8% with no fees at all.

Money went in the bank in a couple of days.

Overall pretty happy to be saving some money :)

ps. Sorry Jeepers, I know you have shares in GE but an 8.2% discount is a pretty big carrot  :D
