When you pull up to help a guy on the gibb on a 45 degree day and he pulls a cornetto out of his freezer and a cold beer out of the fridge side it is worth every frickin penny
The tinkling of ice cubes in my rum and coke is enough for me....

Yes, an RF60 will fit both of those no probs - well assuming the Kimberley he buys has the gull wing box. If he buys an AOR odyssey chances are it will come with an RF80 already installed and custom made to suit.

all those that say you loose space?
in the Evakool the divider fits between the baskets so no space lost.

you use the baskets so that the air can circulate and provide cooling for the entire space

its a nice compromise and depending on what and where I'm going to use it as a combo or just a fridge

combo is real handy to keep things frozen and the beers cold, moving the frozen stuff to the fridge section to thaw also saves on power as you add warm beer

Australian Direct sell them pretty cheap.

I'd get the plastic version over the fibreglass though; its cheaper and takes more of a beating.

Also, they are not bright yellow anymore; which was a bit of a turnoff.

I just hit the link and there's a photo of a mate of mine's scimitar cat cruising up the inside of Moreton - cheeky buggers.

Dunno. I'm guessing he didn't do a photo shoot with them though. I know a bloke off the Ausfish website ended up on the cover of a large chandlery catalogue for a year or two. There was Bugger all anyone could do about it. If you put photos up they can be nicked.

For what it is worth my stepbrother and I both have dometic chescold fridges and they work well.

We got them to be able to not have to worry about the extra expense and space of solar panels and extra batteries and generators.

I have taken mine to the Cape,  the gulf,  Tassie twice,  Birdsville and strezlecki tracks. So thousands of hard ks and it still works.

In saying that,  I had a blocked gas jet once and I have had to replace the 240v element. Not too bad for having it for about 11± years.

It can last for 28 days at its highest (coldest) setting on a 9kg gas bottle.

It is also good for us in emergencies as we live in a semi rural area and have been without power for days on end in rainy weather where the gas is handy as solar wouldn't be reliable in that type of weather and gas doesn't go off like fuel for a generator.

So, in the end, I brought an Autofridge. Took a bit to get used too, but it works extremely well.

I'm not a fan of the single fridge freezer.  When on a trip I take my 40L Engel as a fridge and my 21L Engel as my freezer.  Does the job perfectly.
