Mystery box rally
« on: September 22, 2016, 11:12:15 AM »
James Holbeach and James Guy are competing in this years MysteryBox Rally!

So the below is written in the 3rd person as it was written for something else and I'm too lazy to rewrite it for here ... But you get the drift :) I'm on my way to Adelaide now for the mystery box rally to raise some money for the Cancer council!

If any fellow my swaggers want to donate to this worthy cause and or propose a dare /challenge for us to undertake, we'd really appreciate it!

You can donate here: https://mysterybox2016.everydayhero.com/au/whaddayareckon
--------

Ok so everyone has cancer stories … In 2006 James H (ME!) lost his mother to a very quick fight (8 weeks) with ovarian cancer; in 2007 his younger brother (Richard) was diagnosed with Colon cancer, and successfully fought that fight; in 2014, his father (Peter) was diagnosed with blood cancer, Myeloma, and is on the good side of that fight; and finally in 2016 feeling a bit left out James (H) himself was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer- in feb He underwent the knife and had high anterior resection removing a bunch of cancerous colon, but all was good and all the cancer was caught. He's now fully recovered and ready for the rally!

His younger sister (Edwina) is a doctor and yells at him a lot about cancer, and his younger brother (Tom) has dodged all the bullets and just thinks he is funny.

In 2007 James G lost his father to cancer and understands the difficult journey for those diagnosed and facing treatment over many years. The journey can be long and tough and the fight is not always won.

Left with a desire to help but little means to do it, the best we can do is to help raise money for future research. The Cancer Council do valuable work and we would like to help!

So in September we will take our own (much less) long and tough journey to a mystery destination to help raise awareness and funds for the important work of the Cancer Council.

In 2007 James and James undertook a practice “rally” from Oslo to Val d’Isere in France. James G drove back while James H flew back with a broken shoulder … hopefully there is less snow wherever the Mystery Box is going!

Both James’ have a love for photography and we promise everyone who donates will get lots of Photos!

If you donate over $100 we’ll take a special photo just for you … and if you donate more than $150 we wont send it to you

All money raised goes to the Cancer Council. We will pay our own way for living costs during the event.

Donate generously and often!!

Thank you for your help and I PLEASE share our donation page link with everyone!

Cool! We need a team name, then there's nothing to do until June. Bislet massive seems a bit inappropriate? Whaddayareckon?
