Educate me about swags

So before anyone says "try the search function", I did.

You try putting "swag" in there.

All you get is results for swaggers, myswag, etc......nightmare

So, I'm in the market for a double.

I kinda like the look of this:

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/223-2-Weisshorn-Double-Camping-Swags-Canvas-Free-Standing-Dome-Tent-Bag-Grey-/371649542347?hash=item568809f8cb:g:1awAAOSwtJZXVmjg

I did buy one from 4WD Super Centre two weeks ago, but returned it today. The "high tensile" poles snapped on first use as I was trying to season it. Lesson learnt.

So, I'm now of the belief that strong loop poles are mandatory. Also I like the idea of the spreader bar type for greater access.

Anything else I should know?

Probably have a budget of no more than $300 for a double. Need to have room for one of the tin lids to sleep in there with me.

I had a double swag and sold it and bought one of this type of pop up tent, more room and more versatile.

Here is another option, it's a  bit more than your budget but they are a great swag, we have one of their king single  Apex swags and find it is well made with a 70mm mattress and a bit heaver canvas than the one you are looking at. I am looking at getting the queen size one for an up coming trip to Tassie at the end of the year.

One other thing I noticed is the ebay add doesn't say what size the swag is that you are looking at, there is a bit of variation between swags on overall width and length so it would pay to ask.

just my thoughts.
