Camper trailer wrap

Im wanting to suss out wrap vs respray costs for a camper, We have 2002 Cub supermatic drover we are updating. Part of this is a colour change, just for the sides & back. Were upgrading the front box aka campomatic in black diamond plate, rear access door, & roof will be same (powder coating the rack in black too), just want to change the body colour to update a bit, along with new decals. Any ideas would be appreciated as i'm sussing out wrap quotes tomorrow, then will suss out respray prices. Were on northside in Brissy, unsure of what prices are reasonable for both, or which is best way to go. We will be keeping the camper for a while as were also changing the internal configuration from east west to north south & putting the whole kitchen outside on a slide

I went through all of this a few months ago when I was putting advertising on the work ute. Prices are all over the place, but I found Signarama at Hendra was easy to deal with, a good price and a professional job.

Re spraying vs wrapping. ...    if the CT goes off road etc...  and the wrap gets scratched up.....   does anyone know how that compares to scratching on respray?   ...in terms of looks and durability etc?

I looked at doing a wrap on the bt50 to avoid getting pinstripes down sides when bush the cost was about the same as a respray(before selling?) okay if you can get a business to sponsor and advertise for them with their signage around tug/trailer
a cheap solution is a roll of heavy shrinkwrap (pallet wrap) couple of turns around tug an cut doors replace each trip as not pretty but works

I looked into pricing for the "half an 80 series camper" for a digital wrap on two sides and the tailgate(s). I figured I would do the inside and outer roof by hand and save some $$$. (apparently I was wrong) Quoted (better sit down) $4k by Signwave in Penrith NSW.

I'm now looking at an Ozito $39 spray gun from the large green shed and some tape and newspaper to tape it all up. I've never done this before... but I truly can't stand looking at that maroon coloured trailer any longer...

and besides... it's a trailer. I can deal with a few (or a lot) of paint blemishes...

I'm planning on Toyota white all over and then a nice coat of Raptor paint on half of the front wall and underneath.

being flat panels it would be easy to wrap yourself, get good quality 3m vinyl wrap and should be no problems.
Good wrap doesn't stick until you apply pressure so you can move it around.
Should wear ok, unless it gets staked / cut.

Could you use that vinyl spray paint stuff that people put on their rims?
Might be alot cheaper and easier to repair the stripes

A good quality sign viny such as Avery 700 series would do the job. Available in 1220mm or 660mm wide, rolls up to 50 mtrs but you can buy by the meter. Trade cost for 1220 Avery 700 series would be about $18 per Mtr plus application paper - you need this to keep the vinyl "rigid".   Buy your self a squeegee and some soap and water (use baby shampoo), have a look at some you tube videos on how to apply a vinyl cut sign on a car and away you go.  A flat surface should be pretty straight forward.

If you you want to use the proper clear vehicle wrap (Avery stoneguard) it will cost about $100 per mtr.

Is it easy to remove later or like trying to get old rego stickers off

Most vinyl signs will come off reasonably easily with the use of moderate even heat, just a normal heat gun will do it.
