Nissan Xtrail - good 2nd hand buy for sister?

Hi all,
firstly, to give the picture. My sister, mid-60s, old age pensioner, needs to replace current car. Often carries couple of dogs (one being my G/Shepherd so needs room), sometimes picks up a bale of straw for garden, usual type of stuff and once or twice a month drives to the city.
Probably auto. To suit budget sub $8000. Seem to be quite a few tidy ones at the 5-8000 range at Adelaide dealers, kms 150-225000. Also most likely petrol I guess.
So does anyone have any experience or knowledge of these vehicles around the year 2003-2007ísh to suit above criteria? I don't know the cars myself. She would need to expect say 10years or so out of it. All help appreciated. Thanks, Chris

Solid reliable bus, roomy carrying capacity with back seat down and few problems although there was an early batch recall for the inlet butterfly screws to be loctited after some came loose. Takata airbag recall current too. Apart from that it's down to condition, care and servicing and here's a few owner reviews bearing in mind more owners want to gripe than jump online and sing a product's praises-

I had a 2002. Was great. I could put my pushie in without taking the wheels off. Something I couldn't do in my Prado!

The manuals tend to chew clutches though and it's dam expensive to redo them. I had mine swapped for a single mass flywheel.

Putting E10 in the early models can screw up some sensor in them  which needs replacing. Otherwise we put 100,000 on ours and apart from a clutch and new front bearings and the sensor  was a great car
