I had to fix up some canvas last year so I bought the Speedy Stitcher. It works well, and now lives in the box of tricks.

Just purchased me a Speedy Stitcher. Had to repair the four corners where there was over tensioning that I wasn't told about when I purchased the trailer. Worked wonders and easy to do if you have someone on the other side of the wall from you or a lot of walking. Good investment and now lives in the Challenger for future repairs

That looks like a very handy tool.  Much neater than the hack job I did on our tent, with a heavy sewing needle & 20lb fishing line.  I think I might invest in one.

Had a small tear in the canvas (2cm long ) and tried a product called Tear Aid. Just a stick on clear patch. The video seemed OK so I tried it. Simple easy quick invisible. Now just to see how it stands the test of time.

This gets put on discounted sale every now & then in the trader section here.

I've used it to patch a small chew hole in the vinyl floor from a rodent! still there!

cheers

Just thought I'd pop on here and show my handiwork with a speedy stitcher. Stitching was broken on my trackabout (my fault I think) so I bought a speedy stitcher and had a test run making a cover for my little hatchet. Went well so tackled the camper. Easy peasy, took about 30 minutes. My brother in law came over and had a look, he's a canvas maker by trade and said that would be at least a 2 hour job for them at $100 p/h. He also said they've got one at work but no one knows how to use it so it just sits there collecting dust. He was pretty blown away by its simplicity.
