Advice on trip to the snow
« on: May 24, 2015, 09:34:36 PM »
Looking at taking the family to the snow from sunny QLD in July. They have not seen snow before.

I am curious to know where are some of the good places to go are (probably in NSW) we will be travelling from north of Brisbane.

Are there any good websites, packages etc to look at that wont break the bank?

Thanks in advance.

Yep, found it earlier this morning.
Now looking into the idea of NZ, might provide more bang for buck!

When we were planning our family snow trip last year we also looked into NZ and it came out a fraction cheaper than NSW, but seeing drove to NSW and stayed in a house with a kitchen which also gave the benefit of being able to cook all our own food. So when we added up what a week of buying 3 meals a day and the cost of 4 passports, for us it worked out cheaper to do NSW.

Without kids, then NZ or Japan would have been the go.

Hadn't thought of Japan! More googling to do :D
Will make those French lessons at school seem even less valuable!
