Barneys,

I'm using these:
http://www.revolutionpoweraustralia.com.au/

I have two 150A units in my 79 Canopy. Total weight: 38kg!!

They aren't cheap, but the performance is amazing...I get to use 80% of those amp hours. That's 240 usable Ah with less weight than one good AGM that'll provide about 60Ah useable.

They sell kits with Redarc components, i.e. lithium BCDC. If you install the whole kit, you get a decent warranty.

Hope that helps!

Carlisle

At $2762 for the 100ah kit, you'd want to be able to use 200% of the available amp hours. Still way too expensive for the average camper compared to AGM.

Be aware theres a big difference between LiPO and LiFe batteries
Often written as
Ithium ION vs Lithium IRON
LiPO arent particulalrly safe, known to catch fire
LiFe are very safe
