Royal Children's Hospital

I know not a camping topic but wanted to share with you all. Yesterday myself and a friend from work volunteered at the RCH Good Friday Appeal. Set off from home at 7am drove to Seymour then train to the city. We had to do all our registration stuff first getting name card volunteer shirt etc. Our shift was 12.00pm to 6.00pm was great to see so many people through the place. This could not have been more timely for me as on Thursday my sister gave birth to my nephew Jimmy at 28 weeks in the royal Brisbane. They are doing well he weighed just 1.080kg so has a long road ahead but the little fighter came into the world breathing on his own. Has the respirator though so he doesnt get too tired. So to any myswaggers or their friends/family who have used the RCH or have to in the future it was such an honour to give up some of my time for such a great cause.  A huge day home at 10.45pm Hope to be back there volunteering next year. Have a great Easter everyone.

Mstre & myself both donned the Yellow Jarmies to collect from the punters at the road house in town . Lot of fun watching the $$ go into the buckets  . Only a small part of 17Million + but will do it again when ever required

Let me tell you that RCH saved my daughter from huge back problems . She had a scoliosis & as such her back was a ? sideways . They arranged to fillet her , insert rods , screws  & then help her recover . Now she is upright & mobile as are most of us   . So when ever a call is made l will answer the call . Give that they may grow   . :cup:
