Have been looking for an awning for the side of the GQ for a while now for when I just want to do a one or two nighter so I can thrown the swag down and have a bit of cover. I have been drooling at the Super Peg ones but they were only 2.5 x 2.0 so put that to the back of my mind for a while. Really wanted a 2.5 x 2.5 and while at the Brisbane camping show last weekend found a 2.5 x 2.5 at a reasonable price and laid the money down for local pickup later in the week.
Rang them Wednesday to see when it would be ok for pickup and was told that wait time had extended for 6 weeks as the importer/distributor had sold all stock to another store and have to wait for next shipment. The store owner seemed to be very genuine and embarrassed as now he had to call heaps of people in the same boat. He was very good about it and refunded my hard earned. I explained that I needed it for the Easter weekend and he understood completely.
Now I was in a bit of a pickle and thought why not spend a little more to get a more quality unit. On Wednesday I called Supa RV (Super Peg) at Yatala to see if I could get one before Easter. The guy who answered apologized immensely saying there were none in stock. Desperation was starting to set in. He asked when did I need it by and I said I needed it by Easter and he replied no problem I will get one made for you tomorrow (thurs) for Friday morning pickup after 7:30 opening time.
Being close by I dropped in there at 7:00 this morning and expecting to have to wait till opening time the guy said no problem here it is all packed waiting in the delivery door.

Oh and got an extension for it as well which serves as an end wall or more shade.
