duel batteries

just new to this forum, G day and thanks to all the people who post all there good ideas as its made life a lot easier doing mods to our jayco hawk 92 model. we baught it sight unseen last month besides a couple of pics on the email for my 3 month long service leave due in august,We are heading from Gove in the NT over to Broom via the GRR Down to about Exmouth somewhere.I Know about wishing your life away but HURRY UP AUGUST...Anyway  does any one have thaughts on a duel battery set up in the front boot of there jayco. im thinking of putting mine in there but just putting out the feelers to see what everyone thinks,good or bad idea???

Nothing wrong with batteries in the front boot so long as you don't have gas bottles in there and they are secured.

Hey love! Thats a 2002 Jayco Hawk not a 92!!! Please help him with his battery idea as he has downed tools until... ???

Still no difference when fitting batteries to the boot, as long as there is no gas bottle in there.  If there is you will need to relocate the gas to in front of the box on the drawbar in a ring.

You also need to assess what is curently in your Jayco 12 volt wise and what you plan on using the batteries for and how you are going to charge them.
