Yep,
I've posted about our consideration of the new Expanda outback caravan.
I've put up countless threads on the mods to my 2 x Jayco Hawk's I've had.
I've been a lot of places and done a lot of things, but this weekend we headed down to the farm and stayed in a TENT....
(Well to be honest the missus did, the son and I swagged it, but close enough.)
And geez was it fun.
Admittedly the company makes it most of the time, and we had great company (another swagger), but it was nice to "do it the old way"
The kids had so much fun.
We realised that we don't need that much to make a great weekend.
After gorging ourselves on happy hour nibbles, we decided dinner was not required, but the smell of Marks camp oven wafting our way drove us to great desire!!!!
It tasted as nice as it smelled.
It really hit home that the pleasures of camping can be had with minimal fuss.
(Mind you, we had 3 motorbikes, the shower, bbq and all the facilites of camp crap at the farm.................), but that's not the point.
It really just boils down to getting out there lighting a fire and letting the BS flow.
The next few trips before easter will be swag and steak weekends, so I hope they are just as enjoyable.
