I wonder if it is just how society is allowed to act now.  I say that after seeing on TV and reading about the huge amount of rubbish left at the major cities after the New Years Eve celebrations.  My wife and I just could not understand how it was just perfectly normal for people to throw their rubbish on the ground and the organisers accepting this and having people in place to clean it all.
Was the same at the ODI cricket game we attended at Hobart last week.....we managed to throw all our rubbish in the bins they had there, yet people think it's fine to throw their rubbish on the ground so it rolls down the hill onto the people in front of them's blankets etc. I quiet enjoyed being at a sports event and being able to sit on a grassey hill to watch the game for a change versus being in seats as most major sports fields are now days, but the grubs throwing their rubbish on the ground above us really peaved me off big time.

Wow^^^^^^

I would of thought the effort to get to sandy cape to get away from crowds would mean you cherish the untouched paradise that it is? Or is the sandy cape gettin busier these days?  Fair dinkum that is a disgrace , I would like to shove the offenders face in that lot!

Grrrrrr!
2010 TTD Landcruiser, i have added stuff but can't remember what! Slowly gettin quicker at setting up the brumby but breaking camp is another matter....

I'm missing something here, what do people use cable ties for when they go camping?

Keeping swags closed, the swag owner may or may not be sleeping during application.

Ah! That's what I use velcro for.

Apparently velcro quality has reduce drastically. You just need to see how often the pussy cricketers adjust thier gloves every ball. I wouldn't be trusting any decent equipment to it's strength.

my pet hate nowadays is cut cable ties..
Mine is the ring pulls on beers cans. You take cans so you don't have broken glass. Why then break the flipping things off and chuck them on the ground?

We to have seen this at many campgrounds.

BUT

Drove into the campsites in the high country near Mansfield on Monday just as everyone was leaving. Have not seen a piece of rubbish anywhere.

Pleasantly suprised.

lf you were in the Van with the white Tug at about lunchtime , you must have eaten a lot of dust  Go past Sheepyard Flat to Tunnel Bend camp site with the horse yards & go up to the last camp at the end of the road . Really Top Spot

QPS are looking for these two, to assist with their investigation  ;D

With enough horse power, sheer ignorance and a total lack of respect for your vehicle, you'll get through....

There's a tv show on foxtel called crowd control, and they run experiments trying to change human behaviour.

They actually got people in New Orleans to race each other to pick up rubbish after they created a trivia game with 3 holes marked a, b and c, and you put a piece of rubbish in the hole to indicate your answer. If you get it right, you get a ticket. You needed 5 tickets to get a drink in the bars, so people were picking up rubbish off the streets to play and get drink tickets.

I know that won't suit our bush environment, but maybe we could modify the idea to suit? Points towards free camping in National Parks perhaps?

We use spring clamps from Office works to hold lights to canvas , no waste . Saddle some camp ground warriors cant tie knots so they have to use cable ties . lm amazed that they can get as far as they have to bugger the bush
