Cape york in August
« on: January 25, 2015, 08:38:13 PM »
Have many people been to the cape in august. We are planning a 6 week trip late july to early sept from Victoria. As we will be traveling solo we think it will be a bit easer and not as busy in august. We are quite well set up for the trip, gu 4.2 with winch 33" and a cub camper. Would like to know how dry it will be by then and how difficult the telly track is in august.

I went up in September one year. Not many people around and some water crossings pretty dry. Road conditions will be can a little worse due to the previous heavy traffic.

Very hard to estimate how the tele track will be as it changes on weekly basis.

It is very quiet that time of year and should be a great trip.

Enjoy.
