lightforce issues
« on: December 22, 2014, 11:50:11 AM »
How'd,
Just wondering if anyone else with genuine lightforce HID are having any problems.
Now i do love my lightforce. I use 4 XGT 70watt (12volt).  2 spot, 2 30% spread.
And to be honest I'm yet to to see anything out here better, for HWY use.(I'm sure this in itself could start a debate. Ha ) I have drowned out many other brands and "pretend" real ebay specials. Including combo's with spotties and 40plus in light bars.

But as much as I do like em I have had problems with globe's blowing.  Now lightforce and there warranty has been BRILLIANT...
But it doesn't excuses the fact that I have blown globes.
1st time was the wiring loom all 4. Something about a multi volt system.  Now replaced just for 12volt. But once again I have blown a set.

This being the question has anyone else had issues.

Joe.

I know this does not answer your question, but I bought the Lightforce Genesis a few years back and they basically fell to pieces on me.  Screws came out and then later the body on each has broken.  I contacted Lightforce when the screws came out and they were no help at all as I was travelling in the Kimberley and they wanted me to send the lights back before they could assist.  Totally impracticable while you are on the road for an extended amount of time.  >:(   But that was their policy. (Maybe with the new consumer laws that provision would be different now?)  Good to see they have been brilliant with you but unfortunately I have been put off the company by my experience.  Good luck finding the fault.  (Also hope I haven’t started a debate >:D, I know there would be more good stories about them then bad.)  Kevin

I'm hearing you about the inconvenience part.
I have had to remove them box them, they organized the shipping.
But the out come was great. They replaced the whole lot with brand new Lights(whole spot light), Covers and even the wiring loom was  cut and shaped into the same dimensions as I had given to them so I could just plug it straight  back on.
But yes a pain. Lucky that this time it was only 1 set..
