Hi All
« on: January 23, 2014, 09:34:09 PM »
G'day Swaggers,
Just posting a message to say hi and introduce myself.
My wife and I have just ordered a Aussie Jays Crusher, we should have it by the end of March, can't wait.
I've currently got a 2000 R50 Pathfinder, for which Santa gave a nice 1.5inch lift from Pedders last Christmas.  We've also got a 2005 Subie Outback, which has probably seen more dirt than most Subies.  We took it on the Oodnadatta track a few years ago, came through with flying colours but for one slightly deflated tyre (mainly due to the 17inch rims).  It has been retired from the rough road duties since we got the Pathy.
We are looking forward to hitting road & trails once we get our trailer (after a few mods of course).  Maybe we'll see a few of you out there.
Cheers Dave.

Welcome Dave,

We did the Oodnadatta and the Birdsville in an old subaru touring wagon back in the mid 90s, was never quite the same after that :)

You'll enjoy the camper when you get it, then the fun really starts.

Cheers

Hi Dave,
welcome. Im new here but feeling my way ok, have had some great help so far.
We have a forester and a r51 Pathy. I put HD springs in the forester and slightly bigger tyres and have had a ball offroad in Central Australia, very light and capable. Ive driven tracks one day in a hilux, the next in the forester have been surprised at how well it does.
Sadly now we have the Pathy, it seldom goes bush. After touring in the Pathy we fill the forester all to quickly!

Matt.
