Hi guys,
I am renovating/customising an old cub c/t in my garage at home (plus building bar work etc for my 4wd and the young bloke is always building something for his Hilux too). With all the cutting, welding and grinding everything is covered in metal dust (i think that's what it is?).
Is there any tips to reduce/minimise this?? I cut the steel with a friction drop saw which creates plenty of sparks which obviously = metal grindings, I also use a hand held grinder, although my welding is improving, I probably do more grinding then usual. I noticed welding screens in the pics of some sheds. I figure they're to protect others from getting a flash. Do they do more then that, contain a lot of the mess?? I do what cutting and grinding I can outside the shed but obviously the idea of building a shed was so I didn't have to work in the middle of the yard anymore.
I try to be clean as practical but the mess, especially the metal dust through all my gear, is a real PIA.
Any advice would be welcome.
Cheers
Bob
