Twin gas stove with BBQ plate height
« on: October 22, 2013, 07:20:54 PM »
Ok I have the u-bute twin stove like this

http://www.u-bute.com.au/buy-online/u-bute-portable-barbecue-black-silver-case.html

The issue I have is that it is just 20mm to high when in the case to fit where I want. It has a very LARGE case

I note there are a few other brands around, If anyone has one of another brand any chance of throwing the tape over the unit in the case and letting me know Brand/Height

I need 150mm or less in height, been online and none of the brands give dimensions of the hard cases.

Thanks in advance

Jet ;D ;D

Hi Jet
I have the same U-bute bbq and just recently picked up another brand Festiva bbq at woolies thinking it has a bbq plate included but as I went out to measure it for you discovered that if you actually read the box it doesnt come with one
by the way the Festiva is 125mm high  :'(

Cheers Michael

I notice gasmate sell a bbq plate part No 91652

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GrillPro-Non-Stick-Cast-Aluminium-Griddle-91652-/251309021826

Just cant find anywhere where it say for use with the twin burner stove.

It comes with the BBQ plate, the case is sturdy enough but I wouldn't call it tough

when will I learn that the big green shed has everything  ;D

I would not have even thought to try there.

will stop in there tomorrow and measure one, but will hopefully be as Wato described.

Jet ;D

You can see in the pic , the space above the grey box is where i want it to be stored but my u-beaut is 20mm to fat to squeeze in there at 170mm

Could you get a canvas bag made that it slips into which may let it fit
