hi there from gippsland
« on: July 08, 2013, 09:20:08 PM »
Hi all,
whilst im not so much of a newbie to this site( Ive been researching on here for 12 months or so) I haven't made the time to introduce myself. As the name states my name is luke, my wife is laura, we have a2.5 year old makenzie and baby no2 is only weeks away.

We are keen campers having owned a trailer for the last 5 years and we are just getting into the 4wding, having just purchased a 2000 td42t patrol that I am just modifying at the moment(pics will come later). We have also just purchase a new trailer in the form of a MDC T-box V3 that im also just starting to mod(same goes pics later)

We have just recently come to the conclusion that we are going to take off for the big lap in march next year with our young family. The plan is for it to take 12 to 18 months and we cant wait. BC(Before Kids) we took off for 6 months and did up the middle up and back down then over to perth before funds ran dry. It left us feeling unfinished with our travels and we have worked hard to get to a point to be able to travel again.

As I stated before I have been doing research on here for a while and it has been a great site in helping me find a trailer and a car and I thank everyone with there knowledge for shareing and I hope to contribute myself a little more now.

I am after a bit of help on blogging as I am about to start one for our preperations and travels t o keep family, friends and anyone who is interested informed.

Once baby no 2 comes along and the weather warms up a little we will be getting back to camping as well and I am interested in meeting members with the same interests in our area to catch up. We are from Traralgon Vic by the way

Anyways that's my story so far and I look forward to getting to know people on here cheers

Luke

Hi Luke, Laura, Makenzie and TBA,
Welcome to another Traralgon family. If you need a hand with anything give a yell out. I might be only around the corner in Traralgon.
Enjoy your stay here on the swag and I am sure you will keep us all up to date on preparations and the trip.

Welcome Luke & Family,

You have a great set up for camping, looking forward to seeing the CT & 4x4 pics but I believe you might be a bit pre occupied at the moment.
Good luck,

G'day Luke & Family,

To Myswag,
Yeah, as you have found there is heaps of great info here.
Start a thread in the My 4WD and My Camper Trailer sections, we'll be able to follow your progress and see what you've been up to.
Hope you enjoy your time here.
Happy & Safe travels.
You don't use magic to disappear, all you need is a 4wd & a Swag ;)
