cig plugs
« on: June 10, 2013, 12:42:18 PM »
I am looking for a weatherproof cig plug and socket, I,am wiring the c/t up for the big trip up north and I don't want to cut large holes in the camper.

I was looking to mount a 4 combo cig socket set against the rear of the c/t up against the batt box and only drill a small hole to run the wires into the bat box and connect to the batt.

I cant find any that are weatherproof I have found one that would do but I have to cut a 1 and a bit inch hole and sure as eggs after I have cut the hole I will find a better place to put it so if possible I want to keep the holes as small as possible .

     Thanks Henry

Buy a waterproof electrical utility box and a couple of 12volt flush mount sockets with rubber caps. All these items are available on ebay or at Jaycar. Drill holes and mount the sockets on the underside of the box and mount the box onto your trailer body in a convenient place.  :D
