Walking the Simpson for beyondblue August
« on: April 18, 2013, 06:16:38 PM »
Evening All,

Hi my name is Graeme and come August I will be walking the Simpson from Birdsville to Mt Dare. Call me crazy but its all for a great charity 'beyondblue'. I have named my walk "Walking 4 Talking" We intend leaving Birdsville Sunday 4th and take about 12 days.
Its something I have wanted to do for a long time and raising money for 'beyondblue' makes it even more worthwhile. I have been across in my 4x4 a couple of times but by foot will be the most amazing experience.
My training is well and truly under way.
I have a great mate who will be supporting me in my 76 series, which is slowly but surely coming together.
If anybody will be out that way around those dates I would love to hear from you.
We also are chasing a Satphone for the trip(hire/ loan) .
If anybody would like to donate to my walk you can do so thru Everyday Hero site -
https://give.everydayhero.com/au/walking4talking
Any help is appreciated as are any donations.
Cheers
Graeme Gates
