Wife finished work today. Completely!
« on: March 18, 2013, 12:50:55 PM »
Well it has happened. Emergency nurse wife finished up today, yes her last shift had to be a dam night shift!   ;D
She said she was sad, but looking forward to our next trip.  About 3 weeks to go and we are off for 9 months.   :D
She has not retired, too young, but just sick of the politics in Qld at the moment with the health system.  The media have basically dropped the news about what is happening, but believe me, Qld, we all will suffer for years to come.  And wait until they start privatising the hospitals. What is the old saying, we follow America. It works there hey, not!  >:(
She loves being a nurse, but life is way too short.  She will get back in to it after we get back, but on her terms, maybe country relieving, anywhere in Aust.  She is sleeping now, but this afternoon it is time to celebrate.

At least you have your own caring nurse if something happens to you.
She will care for you, nurse you, wash you, feed you etc.

Hope she will enjoy her ?temporary retirement.

It's not only Queensland that has problems with Helth Depts, and Hospitals.

We have the same problems here in Western Australia.
