They make mention of it's intended use for smaller vehicles, I reckon if it's targeted at young families/couples they will sell well, however it's expensive by US standards at $6K+. What would it be worth once imported into Oz?

I can't see more mature people looking at these, they will want more creature comforts.

Looks like someone ducked down to Bunnings, got a heap of PVC pipe and built a trailer, then of to a $2 shop for a tent..

After reading everything it looks like they weigh 350kg (ish) with a load capacity of 350kg (ish)
Cost wise is just under 10k australian.
Great concept but about 5k too much in my opinion. In mean its really just a pop up tent on a small trailer.

Like anything tho mate, the ones on ebay for that price are def made in china knock offs.
Dunno about the quality. The american ones are made in america.
Hence the price, but more realistic to what I would be prepared to pay for that design.

It is exactly the same. I started a thread on this a few years ago, but can't be bothered going back to find it. Ultimate seemed to pick them up to have a low priced gimmick to sell when the market was really bad.

The ebay add had exactly the same photos as this one does.

I remember seeing Ultimate advertising them orginally and thinking that they had tripled the price.

Also from memory the delivery was from Melbourne.

Cheers Nomad.

Fair enough, I was just going off of what I read on GO's website. No hard facts.
But I mean it was on the internet.... it has to be true... lol

Just as an interesting note Nomad, in the latest foxico ebay add. A couple of the pics show a slightly different design?
Squarer wheel arches, different body etc etc, do you think that its possible the chinese copied the design made it easier to make and the seller just used the go campers pics cos they are good quality photos?
Makes sense to me? I've seen that happen a few times.

Nothing would surprise me with ebay or China anymore evo

I don't remember seeing those first photos, with the checker plate infill when I first found the add, so it wouldn't surprise me if he's sourcing and selling knockoff's

The price has also been bumped up a bit also............

lol save $2020.00 if you buy off the Foxico website hahahaha
http://www.foxico.com.au//camping-c-46_47/

I can't deny it is an interesting concept, It is very practical for the guys/gals that are after something to put a couple of toys in and have somewhere dry to sleep.
but again, it is very much like a dome tent. so you sleep up off the ground? Um a roof top tent on a frame does the same thing. Or just take a small trailer with a dome tent. Especially for the 10k price tag.
