Rosehill supershow (20-28 April 2013) - worth the wait?
« on: January 15, 2013, 08:46:34 PM »
Hi all, I am currently investigating different camper options and hoping to make a purchase soon.

Having never been to the Rosehill show, my question is: Has anyone seen any really good "show specials" on new campers in the past that will be worth waiting a few months for?

Thanks,
Paul

There are always show deals, but it'll be pot luck as to whether there are any on the particular camper(s) you might be keen on.

Those manufacturers from further afield are the most likely to want to make sure they don't have to take a camper home.

Show specials aren't really worth that much.

But at least you have a chance to see them all for yourself all in the one place so it will you some bargaining power if you have the money in your pocket.

I have noticed some manufacturs will let their show stock go for a bit of a deal, not so much money discount, but you make up for it in optional accessories that they throw in because it is a show demo model.

Since they travel the show circuit interstate, these campers are required to attend the shows.

I have been going to the Rosehill show for many years. My main reason was to continue researching which CT I should buy.

After the last show I finally made up my mind. I based my decision on quality and value.

I decided to purchase  CENTRAL COAST CAMPER. I recommend you have a really good look at them. The owner Terry, who I believe prior to starting his own business many years ago, was the canvas maker for Complete Campsite.

I finally picked up my camper in December and have just returned from our maiden voyage. I was really impressed with the CT, have been a large canvas tent camper for 30 years plus.

The canvas work is first class, there is plenty of storage room, great stainless slide out kitchen, fridge slide the easily accommodates a 40 litre Engel with room for other kitchen equipment, large 130 litre water tank and the trailer tows very well.

Terry the owner held the show price of $19500 until I ordered CT and paid deposit in August 2012.

Whichever CT you purchase you will enjoy it. Good luck with research.

If there are any questions you wish to ask a buyer of this brand and not the supplier, please do so

I bought my Goldstream from there and while there are a variety of choices a lot of the manufacturers dont attend because of the long time frame of the show, they just dont have that amount of time.  They prefer the 3 day shows.

the site fee's they have to cough up are pretty scary too............. i saw the bill Adrenalin had for their site @ the Melbourne camping show - you would have to sell a few campers to make that back

I might go to the Newcastle show and maybe the Penrith one, but wont bother going to any of the others this year - i have too much camping stuff already

The Maitland show was one of the best we have been to, however we usually go to Rosehill every second year or there abouts. Depends also on how much money we have to spend at the time.
