Suggestions For Campsite on the Sunshine Coast - Qld?
« on: December 28, 2012, 09:51:39 PM »
Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a camping site on the Sunshine Coast for me? We are thinking of spending next Christmas camping, my brother lives in Sydney, we live in Cairns, so were contemplating a half way meet somewhere around the Sunshine Coast.

We are looking for somewhere :

1 : Next to a beach where you can surf (after all you need to do something to justify all the eating in the evening)

2 : Where you are not packed in like sardines

3 : If possible, somewhere which has some cabins too so non camping relies can come

Any suggestions would be much appreciated,

Cheers,

Baz

unfortunatly number 2 and that time of year at xmas will be most impossible along with a beach side camp...id have to suggest diff time of year or making booking now at the caravan parks say at cotton tree or the big 4 at maroochydore are the only ones that may fit your criterier as far as im aware but you will be sharing with a booked out park.

Cotten tree is our pic but as mentioned you are crammed in.
We are currently at mains beach caravan park on the gold coast...a little bit more travel for you but not as packed as other sites here and good surf across the road

You could always rent house at Teewah on the Noosa Northshore for the non campers and set up camp around it.

Definately not affiliated.

Cotton Tree sucks.........oh yeah I have already said that lol.

Maybe Dicky Beach...............bit smaller than cotton tree and still has all the shops etc and a good bit of beach.

Search Here click on Caravan Parks and search by town or region. Green are pet friendly if needed.

Thanks guys, there look like some nice parks there, any suggestions for the north coast of NSW? Do you think the caravan parks around northern NSW would be less busy at that time of year?

Cheers

Nup most of the population moves to the east coast for Xmas. Book now, book big and buy your space.
