Gatto,
I know they used to be made in China, I have been to the factory there and seriously thought about importing them myself as first appearances looked good. However, do a search and Liberty (and Indigo) has copped a flogging over the last few years. I know that it was only 12 months or so that Liberty was still selling the Chinese trailer in kit form for 12K with the bolt on draw bar, and you bolt it all together yourself. I am glad that they make the trailers themselves now (or are they only assembled here?) The canvas tent has been improved by a country mile but I am afraid that the Chinses steel is there major let down and did not have the quality or strenght. In saying that there is a market for budget type trailers and if it ticks all of your boxes that that's fair enough.
Before i cop any comments this was 2 years ago when I seriously looked into importing them and hopefully they have made huge improvements. What stopped me is the fact that they DID NOT meet Australian design rules, and what one W.A policeman stated on another forum is that if you have an accident and somebody gets hurt (or worse) from a wheel/gas bottle flying off the insurance will wipe you and you will be severely in the p00!!
They can upgrade/improve them all they like but you really need to see the paperwork that states they meet our design rules. If so, all good.
