G'day to all
« on: September 01, 2012, 08:47:36 PM »
Hi,
I have been reading various post on here on & off for a while. I have decided to purchase a camper & have narrowed it down to 3.
The basic process was
$15000 limit
Manufactured in Melbourne
Off road spec
Soft floor
So the finalist were
Redrock
Aussie Jays
Xtrail
Johno's
so with this on board today was the day to look touch & feel the above campers.
I have made my decision but haven't place an order as yet.
But I was after some further pros' & con's from some owners of the above brands.
I will look forward to any response.

Thanks
Marty

Hi Marty and welcome to My Swag

My choice out of your finalists would be a Johnno's, hired one once and thought it was a very well built CT :cup:

martz8   Good Question , the best answer is with you . What you need from a CT  ???, where you want to go with it ??? ,, Do you buy new or preloved ??? . 2nd hand gives you more bang for your buck . Have a poke around in the CT 4sale here . that might help. Hope all that helps a bit

G'day Marty,

To MySwag.
Heiny is on the right track, maybe you can Hire your different choices if you can, if there is no rush to purchase.
Hope you enjoy your time here.

Hey Marty,

Welcome to the forum.

My opinion is that you can't really go woring with any of the choices you have listed, so it comes down to the one which suits you the best!

G'day & Welcome.

Last week at the National 4x4 Show might have been a good time to negotiate a keen deal, it still might pay to get in soon.

So today was the day. The ball is rolling.
My final decision was Redrock.
Without taking anything away from others manufacturers mentioned they all were in the running but the family swayed towards the final decision.
So now the hardest part...... Waiting for finish date & pick up.
Will keep you posted as the days get ticked off till pick up.

Quick update. CT is in the spray booth so not too long now. Hopefully 10 days max.
Pics will come. Really getting excited now.

Yep, the hardest part is the waiting.  Oh well, at least it gives you time to prioritise the mods list.

Happy camping
