Crocodile Trophy
« on: October 22, 2012, 06:06:31 PM »
Anyone interested in a Mountain bike ride, you might want to look at this ride, it is regarded as The Hardest Longest and most Adventurous Mountain Bike Race in the world, called the Crocodile Trophy.

http://www.crocodile-trophy.com/trophy/the_race.html

This event started three days ago an today it came through just a couple of hundred meters from my back yard, so Duggie, my wife Bonnie and I drove down to a good vantage point to have a look.

These athletes you have to admire, as this is not an easy track, those that have driven this country would well know.

Some of the riders

A couple of classic Nissans in the back ground.

A hard luck story, this fellow had already walked 15 km before duggie gave him a lift to get his bike fixed.

I can think of a LOT better/easier ways to build up a thirst...walking to the fridge for example!

This poor bugger has traveled all the way from Belgium to be part of this race, getting a lift in me older girl (1973 Nissan Patrol) was probably a huge highlite in this mans life.
Quality four wheel drive in better than showroom condition and 2 x 80 aircondition, luxury vinyl seeting, he will be the envy of all the other competers.  ;D ;D ;D ;D
