MCC Bull Bars

Has anyone here had a MCC bull bar fitted to their vehicle? They are the only makers of a bull bar to fit our new D.Max I can find, I believe they are made in Thailand. From their catalogue they make a bar for just about every 4WD out there. Also if some one has one, have they fitted it themselves?

Have you looked at Off road division in Caboolture. They make all manner of bars etc. I am having sliders,rear bar and scrub bars made by them.  They are only on Facebook.

You've seen the photos of my bar in the other thread. Any particular questions I can help with?

It's really not as hard as you think - if a numpty like me can do it, anyone can. You just take your time, and everything works well. I think mine took me about 3 or 4 weekends to prep, paint, install and wire up. But there's really nothing difficult about it, just time consuming.

Ours was pretty easy in that no trimming of the front bar was needed, one of the benefits of an older car I guess. The only real issue was that a couple of the holes on the bracket weren't in the right place, and I needed to elongate them with a $20 die grinder. Initially I thought our car might just have had a nudge in the front previously, but other Pathfinder owners have since confirmed that their cars are the same, so just a slight problem with the jig at the factory.

Going to order a polished alloy bar from MCC for the father-in-law's Courier shortly. They're one of the only people who do a bar for that model, and they're priced well. We'll be fitting it ourselves too.

Hi Wayne, no did not know of them, they would probably build a bit more than I require. I only need the bull bar to hang the UHF and HF antenna's off actually, not even putting spot light on it as the lights are heaps good enough for the amount of night driving I do.
As for any real 4WD I can get around to doing (getting a bit old for it now  ) I still have the MU in the shed which is still a very capable off roader.  There is a mob called Superior Engineering in Burpengary that are agents for them.

Thanks Kev, nice one, but with all new vehicle and there air bags it is only going to crumble and stuff the front end of your truck anyway. The one I have on the MU is air bag compatible and the crumble area is as week as. This mob have a alloy one think that will be the way I will go,  thanks mate.

They are $2400 and the aerial brackets are to close to the bonnet for my HF antenna.

Not in Qld the cops here have some of theirs on their bull bars.

Also no where to put spot lights, not that I think the D.Max with projector lens needs them.
