STOLEN CAMPER - Please help
« on: September 18, 2012, 08:07:35 PM »
Attention everyone. Some scumbag stole our camper trailer today at 11am from the Kuluin area. It is a lifestyle 360 camper and is easily spotted with the bent side piece on the front right hand side of the trailer and a small hole in the tent cover at the rear. Rego of the trailer is 573QUK. We are offering $1000 reward to its return or to the information of its whereabouts. Please share this with everyone and make this go viral, someone knows where it is. feel free to call me 0403 742 271 with any info. thanks Wes

Happy to keep an eye out for it, the damage on the right side is it distinctive, do you have a photo of the damage?
How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?  (Homer J Simpson).

So sorry to hear that, words can't describe the feeling of angst we all share for this garbage of society. If I saw it, I would give YOU a reward as you are the one who has had something precious taken from you. My mrs is a cop, and she deals with this trash all the time, they will be caught as 95% of thieves have the brain power of homer Simpson, let's just hope it's either A) ok, or B) trashed so your insurance replaces it. Good luck, thoughts with you. If it happened to me I would crawl into a hole with my best (ok, only) friend jack and sob. You, on the other hand, will be fine!!

Makes my blood boil. I can't understand how people think they have the right to take someone's property that they workhard for.

Its called drugs, most of the time. They just don't care, that's why they bash old people too, easy mark.

Same as this really, swipe a camper trailer or whatever, unload it for next to nothing, then go buy drugs.

Have ya ever heard of someone stealing stuff to pay for piano lessons.

This is something that should never happen to the camping community and it's members, but I understand that a part (is it 20%+) of our society have no regard what so ever for anyone but themselves.  It's such a shame that anyone has to suffer due to the low scum that walk this earth.  I think the average of campers returned to the owner is low, so it is unfortunate that this has happened to you (and again in general).  The  :police: are far too busy filling in paperwork and photographing speeding motorists to spare much time for this sort of thing either IMHO.

I agree with Jeepers, can't see the thieves lining up for piano lessons with the profits from it's sale, but it might make them easier to find if they did.

I would have thought an off road tow hitch would be reasonably good insurance against theft, but obviously not these days.

Scope it out one day, come back in a week or so with the correct hitch...

Hopefully insurance will come thru without a hassle.

thanks for the support guys, still no positive leads

the damage is in the last photo if you look infront of the wheel you can see the lines dont match with the back. compare it to the other pics and you will see what i mean. other clear indicator of this trailer is it has standard gu patrol wheels on that need custom spacers to fit on and doubt there would be many if any other lifestyle campers with these wheels fitted.

Hopefully insurance will come thru without a hassle.
And then come back in a month or so and see if it has been replaced with a new ct...

I saw a camper very, very similar to that in the carpark at Warwick MacDonalds this morning. I remember it because of the builtin ladder in the front left side and thinking that is a great idea! Sorry but never paid any attention to the number plates.
