Getting older and softer
« on: September 03, 2012, 08:48:25 PM »
Our Aussie Swag has gone, sold today and in it's place (big shoes to fill) is a Coromal Magnum 511 XC caravan.Considered that we are slowing down a bit and this may be a bit easier while still allowing us access to some of the more accessable "out of the way"areas.Would still like to stick around on this forum though, even if I have crossed over.
Hopefully catch up with some of you out there, Blueboy

Hi Blueboy,
Congratulations on the new van, they`re very nice and I`m sure you`ll have great adventures. 8)
At 65 and 68 years young we`ve just gone from a basic soft floor camper to a 17' 6" pop top caravan and as much as I love our camper, I sure didn`t miss climbing over the bed and down the ladder

We still mainly cook and eat outside and once we get a solar panel we`ll be staying at some of our favourite places again. As Gronk says you don`t really have to change your camping style, the creature comforts make it just that bit better

Enjoy,
  Robyn

Thanks for the replies. We are still not sure if we have done the right thing, however it should be a bit easier in the long run. We are really still keen campers so most of our time will be spent away from the caravan parks so have been busy setting the van up to suit us.Installing solar,240/12v Duoetto hot water service with exterior shower and hot water to sink and bike rack on the rear.Should have these jobs knocked over soon, hope to get away to somewhere later this month. Might be lucky enough to catch up with a few Swaggers on the way.Speewah, I will pack in a couple of those green cans just in case I come across you and your fire.
Regards Blueboy

Good choice, same as what we bought 18 months ago.  Feel free to steal some ideas from our buildup Thread
