Hello from Broome
« on: August 02, 2012, 12:15:34 AM »
Hello to all the great contributors on the forum.
After a lot of looking we have finally purchased a second hand Camprite TL8s.  We have found the site very useful in helping to decide what to spend our hard earned cash on.
All we need to do now is wait for the Camprite guys to do a service and a few mods and get it up to Broome.

Cheers
Brad

Hi Bad
Welcome to what is undoubtedly one of the best, and most definitely the friendliest, site around.  Great to have another West Aussie on here, sharing the same time zone and all.

We also have a Camprite a little bit further up the road in Kununurra.

Welcome Brad from another TL8s owner.

Looks like we will have to have a Camprite meetup somewhere up here, they're breeding!

G'day & Welcome.

There wouldn't be too many trailers that are better offroad than a Camprite, so you'll be able to get out there.

Thanks for all the replies.  I didn't realise there were so many Camprite's scattered around the Kimberley.

I have booked the camper onto a truck to get it up here but it will still be 2-3 weeks before the new toy arrives.
We are heading up the coast camping this weekend so it may be our last trip with the swags.

Cheers

Brad

Hi Steve and Viv,
We should definitely catch up for a beer at some stage, maybe after the Broome Cup is over, we seem to always get over run this time of the year with family and friends arriving on the door step.
We have been based in Broome for nearly 14 years and are living in the Sunset Park area of town.  I am lucky enough to get paid to drive all over the Kimberley undertaking surveying projects for who ever will pay the bills.
The Kimberley is a great place to be, you never run out of places to go!

Cheers Brad

Cool, sounds like a plan. I forgot how busy it is here over the dry. We took two Months off last year to go and do Cape York. I also get to travel all over the magic place. I run the Technologies group for KAMSC support all Aboriginal Medical clinics. Just got back from a  quick stint up the Gibb, how terrible is that ;D

Shot me a PM when your in the mood for a beer down at the beach...
