Bought my first camper trailer...
« on: September 05, 2012, 12:27:34 PM »
From a company in Oxenford QLD.

Brand new trailer, checker plated GAL, Landcruiser pattern new tyres, gas struts (quite a few don't include?) bike hitch, full seem welded GAL tool box on front, water tank with electric pump (has to still be wired to a battery which isn't included) stainless kitchen with extended bench, trig hitch, full tent with annex (15oz Rip Stop) covers...etc. Electric brakes, full leaf and shock suspension and hand brake.

$5995 all up.

He was getting rid of his last few units before the next shipment and moving to a new factory in Nerang so he wanted them gone.

Personally think I just got myself a bargain.

Hi Hosko,

Well now you've gone and done it!  You'll have to make sense of the electrical section, the My Camper modification section, the trip reports, and general discussion ... man ... you're going to be logged in for ages now!!

Well done on the purchase.  May it allow you to find new places to go camping with ease.

Check my blog for some great places not far from the Goldie you can take yourself post haste!

So true... I think I will be wiring a few things, maybe retro fitting the external tap to the camper for free flowing water also (we don't generally go out bush!)

Our places of choice at the moment are the Big4 in Hastings Point, Blue Dolphin in Yamba and another Big 4 up north on the Sunny Coast. So far with the tent we have been to each a few times but the last time up north in winter sealed the deal for the camper trailer!! Took the pushy up there to do some miles and couldn't get warm enough to get out of bed in the morning!!!

So the bike hitch was really what won me over :)

Also does anyone on the forum get a SQL error now and then? If the forum admins are experiencing some issues, I maybe able to assist if they wanted. You guys have assisted me in my questions, so anything I can provide back is always a win...

Only ask as that is sorta my profession :)
